When I was a child, my school report cards described me as a daydreamer (an experience I’m sure many of you can relate to).

I wanted to turn that “flaw” into something beautiful.

I’ve always had an interest in surrealism and the strange things we see when we let our minds float free. With Tagtraum, I’m turning those daydreams into jewellery, taking the “surreal” and carving it into reality.

Surreal to real

A woman with dark, shoulder-length hair smiling and showing rings on her fingers in jewellery studio, wearing a dark apron.

The Surrealists believed there was an important connection between the mind and the body. From automatic writing to the Exquisite Corpse, they looked for ways to let the unconscious speak through the hand.

That’s what I aim to do with Tagtraum. Strangely beautiful, beautifully strange, every piece in my collection comes from a chance connection - a fish hooked from somewhere deep in the subconscious.
